DOC.01What defines this style

Four green-gray tones reduce a side-view hero to a crisp dot-matrix sprite.

This sprite imitates early monochrome handheld LCD graphics with fixed square dots and only four green-gray values. Its severe palette, side profile and binary clusters create a very different production constraint from colorful 8-bit portraits or 16-bit full-body sprites.

Use it for

  • Monochrome handheld prototypes
  • Retro side-view status screens
  • Limited-palette challenge games

Practical notes

  1. In Stable Diffusion, disable face restoration and any automatic detail enhancement.
  2. Test the sprite at 48 x 72 before judging the nearest-neighbor preview.
  3. In Flux, state the four color codes again if extra shades appear.
